I like to implement another type of security way to monitor my network I want to create easy central management database contain collecting mac addresses and ports from several cisco swiches , the idea is implement by using command snmp-server enable traps mac-notification my problem is to find application for that case , |

Cisco seems have have just about completely dropped VMPS server from their images(although client side is still there). The last place I remember it existing was on CatOS 6500 images. I know there is a open source VMPS server project out there but I haven't looked at it very closely. |

thank you I found open source software (cacti , mac tracker )and (packetfence) I think those software can collect mac addresses from switchs using snmp the put then in managment database , I will try to use them also vmps is good option |

VMPS is on BCMSN book :-). And I know big customers like porsche and deutz A.G. uses it (I used to deal with mac addresses and vlans at Eds) |

Well if you would like to go open source then cacti with mac tracker is good option. However, if you can afford commercial options, the ManageEngine OpUtils is the ideal option, go to OpUtils page to find more info. Yours |
