We all love Cisco and everything networking. But some of us are very much vendor specific i.e we learn only cisco stuff (me too) and dont go beyond that. |

How about security certifications like CISM, CISA or CISSP? my company answers LOTS of security surveys from customers, potential customers, insurance companies, investors & PCI. I recently saw one that asked if any of our personnel had any professional security certifications. The need for people with good auditing skills may become more important as infrastructures move to that buzzword thing. Virtualization, of course, is pretty big, learn at least one of the platforms... probably VMware. You could build yourself a nice little lab with free versions of ESX, an iSCSI server and your choice of *nix distro. |
