I'm trying to set up a site to site VPN with two ASA 5510. On one side (Corp), the ASA is set up and is currently allowing remote access to our internal network. The other side (Remote) ASA is right out of the box. I'm having a couple of problems. One is I'm not really an ASA guy (though I am a CCNA) and I'm not really sure about the configuration through CLI. The more pressing problem (I think) is that the Remote site doesn't have a static IP address. Is there any way to accomplish this that I'm not seeing through my google-fu? Making matters a little worse, is that the ASDM software for the other side has never really worked. It starts up on the PC, and I can see it active on the task manager, but has never actually loaded up to where I can make configuration changes. Also of note, my predecessor who set up the ASA at Corp didn't set it up as a firewall. It is a member device on the network, so it's not outside of the DMZ, but inside right off one of the main switches. |

Without wanting to sound harsh or condescending, you need a bit of knowledge to set this up, especially if you don't have access to the gui. Try googling around for ASA Site to Site VPN and you'll probably find a guide. Couple of things from your questions
good luck with it. p.s anybody ever read expertsexchange as Expert Sex Change :)? |

I have done this many times.. and even though some of Cisco's examples are messed up, this is one I bookmarked: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6120/products_configuration_example09186a00805733df.shtml |
