I've been thinking about setting up a Twitter account dedicated to announcing last-minute openings in the lab schedule.

For example, suppose someone is a no-show for their six-hour lab reservation. When their reservation is deleted (after the thirty-minute grace period), a new Twitter message would be generated announcing that a 5.5 hour reservation window just became available.

Would this be useful? Would people follow a Twitter account just for lab openings and possibly other announcements?

Well, I don't care if it's not useful, I did it anyway.
