In IGP cheat sheet and also in CCNP BSCI Notes it is noted:"NBMA and point-to-multipoint are standards-compliant (RFC 2328), whereas point-to-multipoint nonbroadcast, broadcast, and point-to-point implementations are Cisco proprietary." But in RFC 2328 I have found description of point-to-point, broadcast and non-broadcast networks (two modes: NBMA and Point-to-MultiPoint). So why broadcast and point-to-point topolgies (actually basic ones) are considered Cisco proprietary? Did Cisco invent them (right after Al Gore inveted the Internet)? =)) |
