I used to have an online lab for rental back in the early 00s. I now mostly use my lab for network and energy research and only provide it to my consulting clients. I remember sites like decodes and protocols.com back in the day. I was a big packet head back then and retired to try this www.amilabs.com/tgs Nonetheless, I miss networking and am getting back into it. I owned Agilent Internet WAn Advisors, sniffers etc and built a packet library myself a decade ago. I have some interesting traces to share from the last 12 years or so. I also have some great 802.11 study aids and packet captures on my site as well. www.amilabs.com just go to the Amilabs section and look for 802.11. The Case Studies section also has some interesting papers on my work with traces, one such is a Cisco protocol exploit that crashed routers back in 03. I find that what you folks are doing is great and a fun way to share the knowledge. I used to do this too but your site and others like it are far more efficient in consolidating the information these days. The reason for my post is two fold: 1) where can I send my trace files to be shared here with the rest of the network community? 2) I have some Cisco equipment to donate to your open lab and need to know who to contact about it. Regards... |

Hi there, welcome to PacketLife! If you're looking to upload packet captures (is that what you meant by trace files?), then click the "captures" link in the navigation bar at the top, then click the "submit a capture" link. Jeremy Stretch is the administrator of this site (and the open lab) and you can contact him by clicking the "Admin contact" link at the very bottom of the page, or directly by sending an e-mail to stretch at packetlife.net Hope that helps, Josh |
