hello,

i'm about to comission a 2960-24TC-L populated with two SFP's.

i'd like to ensure that the combo copper port on the switch is never able to be used.

i've labbed it up, when the SFP port is up, the copper port won't come up. but if the fibre/SFP is pulled, the copper port is able to be used..

i just want to avoid any tomfoolery as the switch is going to be installed in a shared comms room/rack.

Switch(config-if)#me
Switch(config-if)#media-type ?
  auto-select  Use whichever connector is attached
  rj45         Use RJ45 connector
  sfp          Use SFP connector

Happens to me all the time. Sometimes I'll post a question in a forum after hours of searching just because I know I'm sure to find the answer two minutes later. =)
