Can I start Cisco Security Device Manager on the provided routers ? If so then how to go about it ? Thanks, M.Naveen

The short answer is yes.

That is provided that the platform is on the supported device list and the versions of IOS are recent, which they are AFAIK (and of course if the almighty Stretch permits it ;-) ).

You can find more information here: Downloading and Installing Cisco Router and Security Device Manager.

Just make sure to only use cisco for passwords and clear your config when you finish the lab.

Actually the answer is no. The lab's topology is completely isolated from the Internet, which means SDM (which relies on HTTPS/SSH access) cannot be used. This may change in the future if enough donations are made to fund a dedicated Internet connection for the lab.

I stand corrected. I assumed that SSH access to the Internet would be allowed.

I guess it is true about assumption being the mother of all f**k-ups. :-/
