Packet Life Turns Three Today

Today is PacketLife.net's third birthday. I started this site on a whim on March of 2008; three years and 379 blog articles later, I'm pretty happy with the way it has progressed. Thank you all for reading, and for giving me the inspiration to continue writing!

After receiving a number of emails asking for blogging advice, I figured now would be a fitting time to share some lessons I've learned along the way for anyone considering starting a blog of his or her own. I've compiled what advice I've been able to come up with in a wiki article titled Tips for Starting an IT Blog. My hope is that it will help spur some excellent new networking blogs to replace those that have faded away over the last few years.

This website is pure gold. I enjoy reading it and find it a great learning tool for both me and my colleagues. It is a great reference and I look forward to reading the latest blog entries. Last year it helped me get my CCNP and an awesome new job. Well done on producing such quality work!

hi jeremy, this incident(i.e. birthday of packet life) happens to be almost exactly concurrent with IRANIAN new year(NOROUZ), but whether it was intentionally or not , i have a very good feeling about this.

This site is unique.Not just because of the blog content,but it is the only site that provides a lab of Cisco gears at no cost.
It has helped me hugely to get my CCNP and hopefully something more in the future.

Packetlife.net was very popular on early days for its well designed cheat sheets. Over the years stretch has added lot of new features and the free Cisco lab changed the way we study.
